Senior ASIC Architect
AragoJob Title
Senior ASIC Architect
Role Summary
Lead the system-level definition and delivery of Arago’s next-generation multiphysics compute platform, driving architecture from concept through tape-out. Work across RTL, verification, physical integration, software, and packaging teams to deliver scalable, high-performance silicon.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Senior title implies leadership responsibility; expect extensive ASIC architecture and full-chip delivery experience.
Responsibilities
Define and own the top-level architecture and guide cross-functional teams to deliver production silicon.
- Define architecture for processing elements, interconnects, memory subsystems, and system-level control.
- Own architecture from concept through tape-out: modeling, specification, and implementation handoff.
- Mentor and align RTL design, functional verification, and physical integration teams.
- Collaborate with software, packaging, and system integration teams to meet performance, scalability, and reliability goals.
- Evaluate new architectural directions, develop performance and cost models, and guide prototyping to de-risk innovations.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and leadership for full ASIC architecture and delivery.
- Proven record architecting complex, high-performance digital systems (multicore processors, vector engines, or domain-specific accelerators).
- Deep expertise in computer architecture: memory hierarchies, interconnects, cache coherence, ISA design, and PPA trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience designing and integrating compute blocks (vector ALUs, SIMD pipelines, systolic arrays, custom datapaths).
- Experience leading full ASIC development cycles: architectural modeling, RTL implementation, functional verification, physical design, and tape-out.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to align multidisciplinary engineering teams under a unified technical vision.
- Nice-to-have: experience with HBM, chiplets, and 2.5D/3D integration and their system-level impacts.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
