Job Title

Senior ASIC AI Engineer

Role Summary

Design and deliver AI-powered methodologies and agentic workflows that generate micro-architecture, RTL, and physical design artifacts for GPU memory system units. Work cross-functionally with architects, hardware, and physical design engineers to integrate AI into existing ASIC design flows and improve area, power, timing, and functional outcomes.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Typical background: BS in a relevant technical field with 5+ years experience, or MS with 3+ years experience; equivalent practical experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

Owner of AI-driven tooling and agent workflows applied to ASIC design tasks.

  • Develop AI agents and methodologies to generate micro-architecture, RTL, and physical design from specifications.
  • Process large codebases and datasets to train and extend agent capabilities and reusable skills.
  • Evaluate and apply multi-agent collaboration frameworks to produce area/power/timing/functionally accurate designs for GPU memory subsystems.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, verification and physical design teams to validate outputs and integrate AI workflows into existing flows.
  • Define evaluation frameworks and metrics to measure agent accuracy and impact on design quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Direct experience building AI-driven development systems, coding agents, and mapping problems to agentic workflows.
  • Experience with AI orchestration/orchestration tools such as LangChain or LlamaIndex and with memory/context management for agents.
  • Proven experience with SystemVerilog, RTL, and hardware description languages.
  • Practical knowledge of ASIC flows: RTL development, verification, logic synthesis, and timing analysis.
  • Familiarity with computer architecture implementation details (caches, arbitration/scheduling, interconnects).
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (with 5+ years experience) OR MS in a related field (with 3+ years experience). The posting allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree.
