Senior Architect, NVLink
Role Summary
Lead the architectural definition of next-generation NVLink chip interconnects and protocols. Collaborate with research, hardware design, verification, firmware, software, and product teams to translate product requirements into validated architecture and drive implementation through the product lifecycle.
Scope includes NVLink fabric architecture, network configuration and management flows, and cross-team coordination to deliver production systems.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting requests at least 8+ years of relevant experience in architecture, design, and verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Research and design chip-to-chip communication architectures optimized for performance, area, power, security, and resiliency.
- Define interfaces and flows between NVLink blocks and other chip components.
- Perform architectural modeling, validation, and documentation.
- Drive implementation across design, verification, firmware, and software teams.
- Collaborate with switch teams to define NVLink fabric architecture and network configuration/management flows.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- At least 8+ years of relevant experience in architecture, design, and verification of ASICs, processor, or I/O systems.
- Practical experience with ASIC design processes and demonstrated record of completing and shipping projects.
- Strong processor and I/O architecture expertise.
- Proficiency in C++ and Verilog.
- Self-starter who can work on a small, dynamic team and coordinate across disciplines.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering preferred; or equivalent practical experience.
