Job Title

Senior Applied AI Engineer, Product Simulation

Role Summary

Lead development of AI-driven simulation and configuration systems for silicon productization, translating chip behavior into firmware-ready contracts and automating product optimization workflows. Work with a cross-functional team that owns simulation, firmware, and product-specification toolchains.

Drive applied-AI direction, build production agent harnesses and evaluation pipelines, and mentor engineers to raise the team's AI capabilities.

Experience Level

Senior β€” the role expects experienced engineers. The posting specifies 8+ years in silicon bringup, firmware, or productization engineering.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on building and operating AI-driven simulation, tooling, and evaluation systems that feed firmware and manufacturing workflows.

  • Design and implement simulation systems for power controllers, voltage-frequency operating points, and binning yield analysis.
  • Translate silicon and firmware behavior into context engineering: composable skills, hybrid retrieval stages, and orchestration layers.
  • Integrate productization tools into an agent harness: define tool registries, webhooks, trace capture, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
  • Lead eval-driven development: error analysis on silicon workflows, automated HW-reasoning scorers, and CI regression gates.
  • Deploy and operate production Python services and data pipelines that include LLM-backed components used by subject-matter experts.
  • Mentor engineers, set technical direction for applied AI, and review system-level tradeoffs that affect product quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and domain experience to operate at scale in silicon productization and applied AI.

  • Proven experience deploying production Python services and data pipelines; at least one deployed LLM-backed system relied on by SMEs.
  • Practical knowledge of silicon characterization outputs (speed, power, voltage noise, binning) and the tradeoffs between them.
  • Hands-on ability to evaluate and use new AI tooling quickly (not just read releases).
  • Experience integrating tools via CLIs, webhooks, and service registries; building trace capture and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
  • Strong software engineering practices for CI, automated evaluation, and regression gating in production systems.
  • Nice-to-have: prior experience with hardware bringup, firmware development, or productization toolchains specific to silicon environments.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science β€” or equivalent practical experience. The role expects significant industry experience (the posting specifies 8+ years in silicon bringup, firmware, or productization engineering).
