Role Summary
Join NVIDIA's applied AI team for chip design to build and scale agentic and LLM-enabled services for production. The role focuses on designing infrastructure, deploying agents and copilots, and collaborating with research, hardware, and software teams to productionize AI capabilities for chip design workflows.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building production-grade systems and shipping AI/LLM-powered applications.
Responsibilities
The role owns infrastructure and services that enable agentic tools and LLM workflows in production.
- Design, develop, and improve scalable infrastructure for AI applications, including copilots and agentic tools.
- Improve architecture, performance, reliability, and operational readiness for LLMs and agent frameworks at scale.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and research teams; mentor peers and promote engineering best practices.
- Build tooling and integrations that allow agents to call services, access codebases, and interact with enterprise workflows securely.
- Maintain production deployments, observability, and CI/CD for agentic services and automation workflows.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience. Degree expectations are listed under Education Requirements.
- 5+ years hands-on software engineering experience building production-grade software systems and shipping AI/LLM-powered applications, agents, or automation workflows.
- Strong Python engineering skills; able to design, prototype, and productionize services, APIs, and internal tools.
- Practical experience building LLM-powered agents or agentic workflows and applying coding agents to improve developer workflows.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals: system and API design, testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability, security, databases, containers, and distributed or event-driven systems.
- Proven end-to-end ownership of engineering solutions including deployment and ongoing operations/support.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.
