Role Summary

The Senior Applications Engineer supports customers in the design and application of LED drivers, display backlighting, and DC‑DC converter solutions for motor-related systems. The role performs circuit simulation, bench testing, EMC troubleshooting, and provides technical guidance from concept through datasheet-level support.

Works cross-functionally to validate products, resolve field issues, and present technical material at customer workshops and industry events.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

• Provide technical application support for LED drivers, LCD/display bias, and DC‑DC converters.
• Translate product theory into datasheets, reference designs, and application notes.
• Perform circuit simulation and hands-on bench validation of analog and power circuits.
• Diagnose and resolve EMC and other field issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, test, product management, sales).
• Participate in customer workshops, conferences, and product promotion meetings.
• Travel domestically up to 25% for customer support and events.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

• Strong system-level knowledge of LED drivers, display backlighting, and DC‑DC converters.
• Hands-on PCB experience; solid understanding of schematics and PCB layout.
• Proficiency with lab equipment: oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, electronic loads, frequency analyzers, etc.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher.
