Role Summary

The Senior Applications Engineer (Firmware) develops and validates firmware for high-power platforms (AC/DC power supplies and high-voltage DC/DC) and leads NPI activities. The role works with application engineers, strategic partners, marketing, and product-line teams to deliver production-ready power platform solutions and to support sales/FAE technical escalations.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include platform builds, NPI validation, technical support, and platform research.

• Implement control schemes in MCUs to build high-power platforms with partners, focusing on AC/DC PSUs and high-voltage DC/DC.
• Develop firmware and execute NPI implementation for MPS power ICs targeting HVDC, AI DC, and industrial applications.
• Lead high-power platform builds and coordinate new product validation activities with strategic partners and internal teams.
• Provide technical support and consulting to Sales and FAE teams and customers; troubleshoot digital processor and power system issues.
• Conduct digital platform research in collaboration with Marketing and product-line (P/L) teams.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills.

• At least 2 years of firmware engineering experience on high-power platforms or PSU development.
• Strong firmware programming skills for MCU-based power platforms and experience with NPI implementation.
• Experience with AC/DC PSU and high-voltage DC/DC platforms or closely related power systems.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with application engineers, FAEs, strategic partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficient English communication skills.
