Senior Applications Engineer 6 Emulation
Role Summary
Deploy and support emulation software and hardware solutions for customers, enabling successful design bring-up and prototyping. Work with sales, R&D, and customers to define best practices, refine methodologies, and ensure customers derive maximum value from emulation solutions.
Experience Level
Senior 6 typically requires 4+ years of experience in design, verification, simulation, emulation, or prototyping of electronic chips and systems.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Deploy emulation solutions at customer sites and guide successful system bring-up.
- Develop and refine prototyping and emulation methodologies to maximize solution value.
- Support pre-sales technical engagements and early customer deployments.
- Collaborate with R&D to resolve customer issues, review specifications, and drive product improvements.
- Train internal application engineers and customers on tools, workflows, and best practices.
- Create and deliver product demonstrations and presentations (live, recorded, or remote).
- Communicate customer requirements and product feedback to product teams and marketing.
- Travel domestically and internationally for customer meetings and internal site visits.

Must-have: Practical experience in design, verification, simulation, emulation, or prototyping of electronic chips and systems.

Must-have: RTL design experience with SystemVerilog, Verilog, and/or VHDL.

Must-have: Verification experience using SystemVerilog, SystemC, and/or C/C++.

Must-have: Proficiency with scripting and automation (Perl, Python, shell scripts, Makefiles, XML, JSON).

Must-have: Strong communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.

Must-have: Ability to create and deliver product demos and technical presentations.

Must-have: Willingness and ability to travel internationally.

Preferred: Hands-on experience with emulation platforms (e.g., Veloce, Palladium, Zebu).

Preferred: ASIC and/or FPGA implementation experience and RTL debug expertise.

Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
