Senior Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Provide technical support for Interface IP customers across the SoC design flow, from IP integration through tape-out, silicon bring-up, and system debug. Work closely with customers, R&D, product, and field teams to resolve integration and implementation challenges.
Primary location: Sunnyvale, CA; role may also be considered in Austin, TX or Mississauga, Canada.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include customer support, technical guidance, and hands-on debugging during integration and bring-up.
- Support Interface IP integration across the SoC design flow and provide technical guidance to customers.
- Assist with technical reviews at key milestones and help resolve integration and implementation issues.
- Perform hands-on silicon and system bring-up and debug critical issues.
- Collaborate with R&D, product, and field teams to deliver customer-aligned solutions.
- Monitor evolving industry standards and protocol requirements relevant to interface IP.
- Support customer engagements that may include occasional on-site travel.
Requirements
Technical skills and domain experience required or strongly preferred.
- Practical experience in VLSI design, verification, or applications engineering focused on interface IP.
- Proficiency in RTL coding using Verilog and/or VHDL.
- Experience with high-speed protocols such as Ethernet, DDR, and PCIe.
- Hands-on experience with simulation, synthesis, and static timing analysis (STA).
- Familiarity with UNIX development environments and ASIC/SoC tape-out processes.
- Nice-to-have: experience with CDC, RDC, lint tools, DFT methodologies, and formal LEC.
- Strong problem-solving, independent working ability, and clear verbal and written communication.
Education Requirements
BSEE/BSCE or MSEE/MSCE preferred with 6+ years of relevant VLSI experience, or equivalent practical experience.
