Role Summary

Provide technical application support for Siemens Tessent DFT tools to diagnose and resolve complex design-for-test (DFT) and test issues for customers. The role works within the Customer Services / Software team to deliver technical consultation, training, documentation, and direct support to improve customers' DFT flows and test outcomes.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include direct customer support, technical analysis, and collaboration with R&D to resolve product issues.

• Respond to customer technical support requests for Tessent DFT.
• Analyze customer design data (RTL, netlists), insertion reports, simulation waveforms, test patterns, diagnostics, and log files to identify root causes.
• Advise customers on DFT flows, best practices, and flow optimization tailored to their designs.
• Deliver customized customer training on Tessent features and DFT architectures (e.g., hierarchical DFT, test compression).
• Reproduce, document, and report software defects and feature requests to R&D with clear reproduction steps and technical detail.
• Create and maintain user documentation, application notes, FAQs, and knowledge-base articles addressing advanced DFT issues.
• Maintain customer relationships through technical exchanges and follow-ups to improve satisfaction.
• Stay current with DFT technologies, relevant IEEE standards (e.g., 1149.1, 1500, 1687), test methodologies, and IC design trends.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience.

• Minimum ~8 years validated experience in integrated circuit design, DFT insertion and verification, ATE testing, or technical support.
• Deep understanding of DFT principles and methodologies and proven proficiency with the Siemens Tessent DFT toolchain.
• Strong knowledge of the IC design flow (RTL-to-GDSII) and how DFT insertion/verification impacts downstream flows.
• Familiarity with ATE principles and test pattern formats (e.g., STIL, WGL, TDL) to assist with ATE-related issues.
• Proficient scripting skills in Tcl, Perl, or Python on Linux/Unix for automation and debugging.
• Fluent in Chinese and competent in English reading and technical writing/communication.
• Nice-to-have: experience applying AI/ML techniques to DFT problems (pattern optimization, fault diagnosis).

Education Requirements

Master's degree or equivalent experience in Microelectronics, Integrated Circuit Design, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field was specified. The posting also allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of degree.
