Senior Application Engineer (DFT)

Role Summary

Lead pre-sales and growth campaigns for Tessent Silicon Lifecycle Solutions, working with account managers to drive product adoption at strategic and potential customer accounts. Support evaluations, deployment, and escalation of technical issues while presenting technical solutions to senior engineers and technical managers on-site and remotely.

Responsibilities

Principal responsibilities include pre-sales engagement, technical advocacy, and customer support.

• Lead pre-sales activities and growth campaigns for Tessent product lines.
• Engage with key accounts to support evaluations and adoption of tools.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
• Advise customers on design-for-test (DFT) methodologies and implementation guidance.
• Diagnose and resolve customer technical issues; take ownership of solutions.
• Collaborate with account managers and product teams to capture customer requirements and feedback.
• Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as required.

Requirements

Must-have skills and preferred qualifications.

• Must-have: Wide technical experience with large digital IC designs.
• Proven track record working with leading IC customers.
• Sound knowledge of the semiconductor industry and DFT methodologies.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills for engaging senior technical audiences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Siemens EDA tools or competing EDA platforms.
• Background in semiconductor design or test engineering.
• Prior customer-facing technical role experience.

Education Requirements

Minimum university degree at B.Sc. level or equivalent; explicit allowance for equivalent practical experience. No specific field of study mandated in the posting, though semiconductor/DFT background is preferred.
