Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior IC designer responsible for analog and mixed-signal CMOS blocks used with silicon quantum processors, including circuits intended for deep-cryogenic operation. The role sits on the IC team and works closely with layout, validation, RF IC design and quantum physics groups.
This is an early-stage, hands-on engineering role at a fast-growing quantum computing company focused on scalable silicon-based processors.

Responsibilities
Deliver and support design, verification and post-silicon validation of analog and mixed-signal ICs.
- Design and verify continuous-time and discrete-time circuits (amplifiers, filters, high-accuracy/high-performance data converters) in CMOS.
- Design and optimise circuits for operation at deep-cryogenic temperatures.
- Work with layout engineers on analog and mixed-signal block layout and design strategy.
- Support post-silicon bring-up, setup and debugging to evaluate IC performance.
- Collaborate with RF IC design, IC validation and quantum physics teams to meet project goals.
- Document designs and present work in design reviews.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience followed by desirable skills.
- Must-have: Solid understanding of analog and mixed-signal CMOS IC design.
- Silicon-proven experience designing analog integrated circuits.
- Familiarity with switched-capacitor circuits and data converter design in CMOS.
- Experience with layout considerations and design-for-layout strategy.
- Proficient with design and verification CAD tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Nice-to-have: ADC/DAC design for high-frequency, high-performance or low-power applications; clock generation/PLL design; knowledge of CMOS fabrication technology; cryogenic CMOS design experience; Verilog/Verilog-A/Verilog-AMS; MATLAB; DSP and communications systems knowledge.
