Senior Analog Layout Engineer

Role Summary

Design and implement analog/mixed-signal IP layouts (PLL, oscillators, data converters, power management, IO) across advanced process nodes. Work on layout tasks ranging from small sub-blocks to top-level IP, and collaborate with global design, SoC and ACC teams to deliver production-ready layouts.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include delivering high-quality analog/mixed-signal layouts and supporting cross-functional integration and reviews.

• Create layouts for high/low-speed IOs, clocking IP (XOSC, PLL, DPLL, IRC), data converters and power-management IPs.
• Collaborate with design teams and global ACC/SoC teams (Eindhoven, Austin, France, Noida) to understand requirements and integrate blocks.
• Perform ESD and layout reviews at multiple design-cycle stages.
• Execute EM/IR analysis where required and ensure layout matching and common-centroid techniques are applied.
• Support both small sub-block layouts and complex top-level IP layouts.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• 2–4 years hands-on experience in analog mixed-signal IP layout or verification.
• Layout experience with PLLs, crystal oscillators (XOSC), bias generators, reference circuits, LDOs, IRCs, high-speed/general IO, and data converters.
• Experience across advanced process nodes (examples given: 5nm, 16ffc, 22fdx, 28nm, 40nm).
• Strong knowledge of layout matching and common-centroid techniques; IO pad ring design.
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso for analog layout.
• Familiarity with back-end view generation (LEF, ndm, milkyway).
• Ability to perform EM/IR analysis and participate in ESD/layout reviews.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
