Job Title

Senior Analog IC Design Engineer (Sensor Product Line)

Role Summary

This senior IC design role is on the sensor product team and covers specification, block partitioning, transistor-level analog design, layout supervision and silicon validation of mixed-signal sensor products.

The engineer will collaborate with digital, layout and test teams, support production test flow development, and participate in architecture and documentation for sensor ICs. Position is based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland (onsite).

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 10+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design and IC development.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities in design, verification and product validation:

  • Specify design targets and partition system/analog blocks.
  • Transistor-level analog and mixed-signal circuit design of key building blocks.
  • Analyze and optimize circuit and system performance.
  • Support design verification and mixed-signal simulation environments.
  • Follow up on IC layout and advise on high-speed layout considerations (parasitics, crosstalk, supply/bias distribution).
  • Define and implement design-for-test, yield and reliability measures.
  • Specify and implement functional-safety-related design features.
  • Participate in silicon bring-up, validation and lab evaluation of fabricated devices.
  • Coordinate with digital, layout and test teams and support development of production test flow.
  • Write technical documentation for designs and architectures.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills, tools and behaviors.

  • Must-have: Extensive experience in analog/mixed-signal circuit design and IC development.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with CAD tool environments and mixed-signal simulation.
  • Must-have: Solid analytical thinking and strong communication skills in English.
  • Must-have: Ability to work independently and coordinate across analog, digital, layout and test teams.
  • Must-have: Experience with high-speed layout considerations and design-for-test/yield practices.
  • Preferred: Experience with signal processing and sensor devices.
  • Preferred: Project management experience and prior involvement in production test flow development.
  • Preferred: Experience supervising layout and implementing functional-safety features.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally; self-motivated and a team player.

Education Requirements

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) or higher.
