Job Title
Senior Analog IC Design Engineer (f/m/d)
Role Summary
Join the Wireless Power Design Center in Zurich to design transistor-level analog and mixed-signal circuits for power management ICs used in wireless power applications. You will work across architecture, circuit implementation, silicon validation and production support within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
This role focuses on high-performance analog building blocks and mixed-signal subsystem integration with responsibility from schematic through silicon bring-up.
Experience Level
Senior. The posting requires a minimum of 2 years of industrial experience in Analog IC Design; the role expects demonstrated ownership of complex analog/mixed-signal projects.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include design, verification and validation across the full IC development cycle:
- Design high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits for Power Management applications (LDOs, bandgaps, op-amps, comparators, bias, reference, protection/monitoring).
- Develop and integrate mixed-signal subsystems including ADCs where applicable.
- Execute pre-layout and post-layout verification across PVT corners, Monte Carlo and reliability conditions.
- Collaborate with Layout, Digital, Verification, Applications, Product and Test teams to meet area, performance and manufacturability targets.
- Support silicon bring-up, characterization, debugging and production ramp; document and present technical results.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial experience in Analog IC design.
- Strong understanding of CMOS analog circuit design fundamentals, including noise, mismatch, stability/compensation, process variation, reliability and low-power techniques.
- Hands-on experience designing analog building blocks for Power Management ICs.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre and standard analog design methodologies.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills; experience with silicon characterization and validation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; fluent in English.
Preferred:
- Experience with ADC design (SAR, Pipeline or Sigma-Delta architectures).
- Experience in mixed-signal IC development and BCD or High-Voltage CMOS technologies.
- Knowledge of wireless power or Power Management products.
- Laboratory characterization experience and scripting/programming (Python, SKILL, Perl, Tcl).
Education Requirements
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). The posting explicitly allows equivalent practical experience.
