Senior Analog Engineer – Power Management
NXP SemiconductorsJob Title
Senior Analog Engineer – Power Management
Role Summary
Design and deliver mixed-signal power-management integrated circuits for automotive and robotics applications within the Power Delivery group. Work across system definition, block architecture, circuit design, simulation and layout, and interact with customers and cross-functional teams.
Experience Level
Senior — requires at least 4 years of direct experience in analog and mixed-signal transistor-level design for power management applications.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical execution of analog/Mixed-Signal blocks from specification through validation and providing design support across the product lifecycle.
- Define system and block architecture for power-delivery circuits.
- Perform transistor-level circuit design, simulation, and optimization.
- Prepare and review design documentation, design notes, and layout guidance.
- Verify and validate mixed-signal ICs; support silicon bring-up and characterization.
- Collaborate with customers, product, test, packaging, quality, and program teams.
- Contribute technical publications, patent filings, and internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience designing analog and mixed-signal transistor-level circuitry for power management.
- Deep understanding of analog circuit design theory and device physics; ability to create original circuit solutions.
- Experience designing MOS and BJT analog circuits such as bandgap references, amplifiers, oscillators, detection circuits, linear LDOs, and switching regulators.
- Experience with DC-DC converters, switched-capacitor converters, and load switches; hybrid converter design highly preferred.
- Familiarity with mixed-signal design tools and flows; experience reading/writing Verilog-AMS models is desirable.
Education Requirements
Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering required; M.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred.
