Job Title
Senior Analog Design Engineer (Serial Transceiver)
Role Summary
Design and deliver Serial Transceiver integrated circuits from specification through production release. The role focuses on analog and mixed-signal block design, verification, and productization for industrial and infrastructure applications (e.g., motor drives, factory automation, wireless infrastructure).
Experience Level
Senior. The posting requests 3+ years of Analog IC design experience.
Responsibilities
Work across the IC design flow to implement, verify, and release serial transceiver products.
- Develop Serial Transceiver ICs, with emphasis on standards such as RS-485 and RS-232.
- Design and validate analog blocks: op amps, comparators, Schmitt triggers, voltage/current references, bandgap, charge pumps, high-voltage Tx/Rx, capless LDOs, and related I/O circuitry.
- Integrate blocks at top level, perform full-chip verification and participate in design-closure activities.
- Work with layout engineers on floorplan and analog/ESD/digital integration; participate in layout reviews.
- Conduct block- and chip-level design reviews and provide documentation and presentations on design status.
- Support post-silicon debug, system characterization, test, operations, and application teams during productization.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful execution of the role.
- 3+ years of hands-on Analog IC design experience.
- Proven experience with analog building blocks: op amps, comparators, bandgap references, and charge pumps.
- Experience with transceiver Rx/Tx design, high-voltage analog design, analog buffers, and I/O circuits.
- Understanding of process technologies and device behavior relevant to high-voltage operation and reliability.
- Knowledge of ESD and latchup concepts and protection methodologies.
- Experience participating in post-silicon debug and supporting system characterization and productization.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document and present design status and decisions.
Nice-to-have:
- Direct experience with serial transceiver design and standards (RS-485, RS-232).
- Hands-on silicon debug experience and familiarity with high-voltage Tx/Rx integration.
- Experience with IC floorplanning and analog/digital integration for mixed-signal chips.
Education Requirements
No specific degree is required by the posting. The company notes that many employees hold engineering degrees, including BS/MS and PhD levels, typically in electrical/electronic engineering, computer engineering, or related technical fields.
