Role Summary
Responsible for technical leadership, design, simulation, and layout oversight of CMOS power management circuits within Renesas power management products. Lead complex block designs from feasibility through lab evaluation and production ramp, and collaborate with applications, test, and cross-functional teams.
Experience Level
Senior-level β typically 6β8 years of relevant experience working on advanced, complex technical projects.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include technical ownership of analog power blocks, driving designs to production, and mentoring team members.
- Interpret requirements and define system/design strategy for power management products.
- Provide technical leadership for major analog blocks and ensure successful production handoff.
- Oversee design, simulation, and layout of CMOS power management circuits to meet performance, area, power, and schedule targets.
- Own complex block designs; delegate tasks and perform design reviews.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new circuits and verify designs meet specifications.
- Lead lab evaluation activities in collaboration with Applications Engineers and coordinate with test teams for production ramp.
- Plan and execute top-level simulation and verification.
- Support DFT strategy and implementation.
- Produce high-quality documentation and drive improvements in design methodologies.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers and participate in customer-facing activities and RFQ support as required.

- 6β8 years of relevant analog design experience working on complex projects.
- Advanced technical skills enabling independent work on complex analog/power-management designs.
- Proven experience in CMOS power management circuit design, simulation, and layout.
- Experience with lab evaluation, test development, and production ramp activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, solve complex problems, and deliver on schedule.
- Strong verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and work effectively in multisite, multicultural teams.
- Willingness to undertake occasional international travel on short notice.
- Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with DFT, top-level verification planning, and customer/RFQ interactions.
