Job Title

Senior Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and validate high-performance analog power management integrated circuits (PMICs, power loss protection, motor control, battery management) for mobile, consumer, IoT, and industrial applications. Work on architecture, transistor-level design, and cross-functional execution with layout, test, and global design teams to deliver production-ready silicon.

This role is based in Richardson, TX and requires onsite presence multiple days per week.

Experience Level

Senior-level engineer. The role expects approximately 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience in analog and/or mixed-signal IC design.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Architect, design, and develop analog power management ICs focused on efficiency, power density, and reliability.
  • Select and implement circuit topologies that meet performance, yield, and manufacturability targets.
  • Perform transistor-level design, simulation, and validation against functional and performance specifications.
  • Collaborate with layout engineers to optimize floorplanning and parasitic effects for silicon performance.
  • Define product architecture and specifications with system engineers, balancing performance, power, and cost.
  • Work with test and characterization teams to define validation methods, troubleshoot designs, and optimize production test strategies.
  • Coordinate with global design teams to align development strategies and execution.
  • Prepare technical reviews and documentation; present design decisions and trade-offs to stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills and experience.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of engineering experience in the semiconductor industry with analog and/or mixed-signal IC design.
  • Must-have: Transistor-level design, simulation, and validation experience for analog/power circuits.
  • Must-have: Experience with EDA flows and tools for parasitic extraction, EMIR/capacitive coupling analysis, and floating-node analysis.
  • Must-have: Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across layout, test, and system teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Simplis, ADS or similar tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Hands-on lab experience supporting high-frequency switching power supplies and characterization of power-management devices.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with production release and manufacturing handoff of power-management ICs.

Education Requirements

Required: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Preferred: PhD in Electrical Engineering. The posting also accepts equivalent education or practical experience in lieu of stated degrees. Relevant fields: Electrical Engineering, analog/mixed-signal IC design and power-management related disciplines.
