Job Title
Senior Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Lead the design and delivery of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit blocks for high-performance semiconductor products. Work across architecture, design, simulation, verification, silicon validation and documentation while mentoring junior engineers.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 7 years of relevant analog/mixed-signal IC design experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver and validate analog/mixed-signal IP and product blocks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support silicon bring-up.
- Define architecture and lead design, simulation and verification of ADCs, DACs, PLLs, LDOs, amplifiers and high-speed interfaces.
- Perform detailed circuit design using advanced CMOS processes to meet performance, power and area targets.
- Run extensive simulations (e.g., Spectre, Eldo) across operating conditions and corners.
- Coordinate with digital design, layout, test and system engineering throughout development.
- Develop test plans and support silicon validation, characterization and debugging.
- Analyze silicon failures and propose corrective actions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior analog engineers.
- Contribute to design reviews, technical documentation and patent disclosures.
Requirements
Core technical skills and proven delivery experience required.
- Minimum 7 years experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design.
- Proven track record of designing, taping out and validating complex analog blocks in advanced CMOS nodes (examples: 28nm, 16nm, 7nm).
- Expertise in a range of analog circuit topologies and design techniques.
- Strong proficiency with industry EDA tools (Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, AMS simulation, etc.).
- Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics and process variation impacts.
- Experience with layout supervision and post-layout verification (LVS, DRC, parasitic extraction).
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and silicon-debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multi-site, multi-cultural teams; strong English communication and presentation skills.
- Nice-to-have: scripting experience (Python, Perl).
