Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, design, and program leadership for high-accuracy data-converter IP and associated analog front ends.
- Architect and design high-performance AFEs and signal-chain ecosystems (PGAs, precision voltage references, data converters).
- Develop high-accuracy IP targeting voltage accuracy on the order of 1 µV.
- Design and specify Delta-Sigma ADCs, Nyquist DACs, and SAR ADCs to target high resolutions.
- Guide and mentor global Design, Characterization, and Test Engineering teams on high-voltage and high-accuracy design and test techniques.
- Define product specifications and tradeoffs to balance competitiveness and development cost.
- Collaborate with Product Definition and Marketing on roadmaps and long-term IP plans.
- Represent CAD R&D in product-group and company-level technical meetings and initiatives.
- Drive NPI execution and continuous efficiency and performance improvements.
Requirements
Key technical and leadership requirements. Education requirements are listed separately below.
- Proven track record designing high-accuracy products and AFEs with ENOB ≥16 and voltage precision on the order of 1 µV.
- Experience designing high-resolution Delta-Sigma ADCs (≥24-bit), SAR ADCs (≥16-bit), and Nyquist DACs (≥18-bit).
- Experience with high-speed ADC design (data rates >100 MSPS).
- Strong expertise in ESD, latch-up mitigation, and IC reliability considerations.
- Deep knowledge of mixed-signal design methodologies, industry tools, and BCD process technologies.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate distributed engineering teams through design, characterization, test, and NPI.
Education Requirements
M.S.E.E. (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering as stated in the posting.
