Senior AMS DV Engineer

Role Summary

Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal (AMS) Design Verification engineer in the Custom Silicon Solutions (CSS) group responsible for verification of mixed-signal SoC blocks for portable consumer applications. You will work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-site team and engage with Tier 1 OEMs.

The role includes contributing to verification strategy, developing AMS verification plans and models, executing tests in AMS environments, and providing mentorship opportunities.

Experience Level

Senior - requires 5+ years of chip-level AMS (analog mixed-signal) verification experience for SoCs, with experience in mixed-signal verification flows and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work as a mixed-signal verification team member within a multi-disciplinary, multi-site development team (Digital/Analog/DV/Implementation/Layout).
  • Contribute to and improve verification strategy and methodology.
  • Translate device requirements into traceable AMS verification plans.
  • Code or generate SVRNM/verilog-AMS behavioural models for analog blocks and validate them against schematics.
  • Develop directed AMS tests or reuse constrained-random UVM testcases.
  • File, track, and drive bugs to closure using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Document verification results and review findings with the team and stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of chip-level AMS verification of SoCs (analog mixed-signal verification).
  • Experience with digital mixed-signal verification methodologies (DMS) using UVM.
  • Proficiency with Cadence-based flows (schematics, simulation/netlist options) and mixed-signal simulators such as Cadence AMS or equivalent.
  • Experience coding SVRNM or verilog-AMS behavioural models for analog blocks.
  • Strong coding and object-oriented programming skills, and clear documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and issue workflows (e.g., Jira).
  • Team player with strong analysis and debugging skills; effective communicator in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 10%).

Nice-to-have:

  • Scripting experience (Python, C, Perl or similar).
  • Prior mentoring, supervisory, or leadership experience in verification teams.

Education Requirements
