This role focuses on software toolchain enablement, performance analysis, proof-of-concept development, and customer-facing technical support and training.
Experience Level
Senior β experienced professional. Typical guidance: 6+ years relevant industry experience (senior-level) up to 10+ years depending on prior responsibilities; see Education Requirements for degree/experience equivalencies.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include customer enablement, software validation, and performance optimization.
- Develop and deliver technical training, workshops, and presentations on the AI software toolchain and best practices.
- Support customers in mapping, optimizing, and deploying AI workloads (CNNs, transformers, LLMs) on silicon platforms.
- Reproduce, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues across pre-silicon and post-silicon stages.
- Collaborate with R&D to validate bug fixes, feature enhancements, and performance optimizations.
- Build proofs-of-concept, benchmark applications, and demonstration platforms showcasing the toolchain.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and recommend software and hardware/software co-design improvements.
- Create technical documentation, application notes, tutorials, and customer-facing collateral.
- Act as technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams; support onsite or virtual engagements as required.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience required for the role. Degree details are listed under Education Requirements.
-
Must-have:
- Deep knowledge of modern AI algorithms and ML workflows, including CNNs, transformer architectures, LLMs, and model deployment.
- Strong software development skills in Python, shell scripting, and C/C++; experience in debugging and optimization.
- Experience developing and optimizing software on embedded systems and SoC platforms; profiling and performance analysis of AI workloads.
- Experience with pre-silicon simulation/emulation and post-silicon hardware platforms for validation and debugging.
- Customer-facing experience: technical support, troubleshooting, and delivering workshops or trainings.
-
Nice-to-have:
- Linux device driver development and debugging experience.
- Experience with AI accelerators (NPUs, DSPs, GPUs) and familiarity with compiler/runtime frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX.
- Background in heterogeneous computing and hardware/software co-optimization.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience; or Bachelor's degree in those fields with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience. Equivalent practical experience may be considered where specified by the employer.
