Job Title

Semiconductor Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design, layout and optimize memory, logic and analog circuits for DRAM products. Participate in parasitic modeling, design validation, reticle experiments and tape-out revisions. Manage layout activities (floor-planning, placement, routing) and run verification and simulation using industry-standard tools.

Work cross-functionally with probe, assembly, test, process integration, product engineering and internal standards/CAD/modeling teams to ensure manufacturability and design quality.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, layout, validation, and collaboration to enable manufacturable DRAM products.

  • Perform circuit design, layout and optimization for memory, logic and analog blocks.
  • Develop and apply parasitic models; support design validation and reticle experiments.
  • Implement tape-out revisions and oversee layout tasks including floor-planning, placement and routing.
  • Run verification and simulation with industry-standard simulators; support debug activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (probe, assembly, test, process integration, product engineering) to ensure manufacturability.
  • Coordinate with standards, CAD, modeling and verification groups to improve design quality and drive process standardization.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and domain knowledge.

  • VLSI design experience
  • Knowledge of CMOS devices and processes
  • Experience with Verilog / SystemVerilog
  • Understanding of DFT modes and usage
  • Familiarity with DRAM memory architectures
  • Verification and debug experience using industry-standard tools

Education Requirements

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field plus approximately 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
