Semiconductor Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and analyze digital and analog circuits used in memory products (DRAM/HBM). Perform simulation, optimization, and floorplanning to meet targets for performance, power, cost, quality, reliability and manufacturability. Collaborate with cross-functional design, verification, product engineering, test and manufacturing teams to deliver low-power solutions for ML/AI applications.

Experience Level

Entry-level — approximately 2 years of relevant experience expected.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design and analyze custom digital and analog circuits, including high-speed blocks.
• Simulate and optimize circuits to meet performance, power, and reliability goals.
• Perform floorplanning and layout optimization for DRAM/HBM circuits.
• Use Cadence Virtuoso and Cadence Layout XL for schematic and layout tasks.
• Collaborate with product engineering, test, probe, process integration, assembly, and marketing teams.
• Debug signals, perform signal analysis, and support test and qualification activities.
• Integrate front-end and back-end design and process flows to improve manufacturability and time-to-market.

• Debug and signal analysis

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with DRAM or HBM circuit design
• Floorplanning and system-level performance trade-offs
• Low-power design techniques for ML/AI applications

Education Requirements

Employer states acceptance of a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
