Job Title

Semiconductor Design Engineer

Role Summary

Individual contributor responsible for design and validation of on‑chip controller and mixed‑signal circuitry for NAND flash products. Work covers architecture and product definition, system integration, and block- and full‑chip validation.

Role includes RTL design and implementation, synthesis and timing closure, firmware development for NAND operations, and coordination with domestic and international design teams.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include product architecture, implementation, and verification of controller and mixed‑signal functions in NAND devices.

  • Define architecture and product requirements for on‑chip controllers and mixed‑signal blocks.
  • Plan and execute block‑level and full‑chip validation and system integration.
  • Develop RTL for controller hardware and participate in synthesis, APR, and timing closure.
  • Write and maintain firmware for NAND internal operations.
  • Perform mixed‑mode design and validation activities for analog/digital interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional and international design teams on project execution.

Requirements

Must‑have technical skills and tool experience for ASIC controller and NAND design.

  • Proficiency in Verilog.
  • Experience with digital ASIC design methodology.
  • Experience in mixed‑mode (analog/digital) design and validation.
  • Familiarity with design/verification CAD tools, including NCSim.
  • Experience with synthesis and timing tools such as Design Compiler, Formality, or PrimeTime.
  • Programming or scripting experience: TCL, Perl, C, C++, or Python.
  • Experience with non‑volatile memory design, specifically NAND.

Education Requirements

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
