Role Summary

Entry-level student role on a security-validation team focused on validating low-level software and security components used in Intel platforms. This is a hands-on, mentored position emphasizing test development, failure analysis, and coverage-driven validation.

Experience Level

Entry-level / student internship. No prior professional experience required; role is intended for current university students.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing validation tests, investigating failures, and improving test infrastructure.

  • Develop and run validation tests for software and security components.
  • Analyze test results, investigate failures, and drive issues to root cause.
  • Contribute to test-environment infrastructure and measure code and functional coverage.
  • Collaborate with design and validation engineers on quality and release readiness.
  • Explore and apply modern productivity tools, including AI-assisted engineering.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, workplace expectations, and availability. Education requirements are listed separately below.

  • Must-have: Solid programming fundamentals in C/C++/C#/Java.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective teamwork and communication.
  • Must-have: Availability of 2.5 days per week (2 days on-site in Haifa + 0.5 day remote).
  • Nice-to-have: Interest or coursework in computer architecture, operating systems, or embedded systems.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and curiosity about low-level software.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience or exposure to test automation, Python, debugging, and coverage-driven verification.

Education Requirements

Registered student pursuing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; at least 3 semesters remaining until graduation.
