Security Software Development Engineer

Role Summary

Join a validation team responsible for functional validation of Intel Trusted Domain Extensions (TDX). The role focuses on validating security and virtualization across firmware, OS, drivers, middleware, SDKs, and applications.

Primary responsibilities include designing and executing tests, building automation and reference implementations, and investigating cross-layer issues with firmware, silicon, and software teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting requests approximately 5–7 years of experience in software/hardware validation or verification and coding in C/C++.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan and perform functional validation of TDX across the software and firmware stack (firmware, OS, drivers, middleware, SDKs, apps).
• Design, implement, and maintain test frameworks, automation, and reference implementations.
• Create and execute test plans, track results, and report quality metrics.
• Debug and diagnose issues spanning silicon, firmware, and software; reproduce and isolate defects.
• Collaborate with architects, firmware, OS, driver, and platform teams to drive issues to closure.
• Contribute to pre- and post-silicon validation efforts and handoffs as required.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: 5–7 years experience in software or hardware validation/verification.
• Must-have: 5–7 years coding experience in C or C++ and experience building test automation or frameworks.
• Must-have: Proficient English, strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with operating systems and virtualization technologies.
• Nice-to-have: Pre- and post-silicon validation experience.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Specman.

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
