Security Software Development Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for validation of Intel TDX (Trusted Domain Extensions) across firmware, operating systems, drivers, middleware, SDKs and applications. Member of the Silicon and Platform Engineering Group focusing on confidential computing and virtualization technologies.

The role emphasizes building test frameworks, automation, and reference implementations, and working with hardware and software teams to ensure product reliability at scale.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 3–5 years of relevant software or hardware validation/verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design and execute validation plans for TDX across firmware, OS, drivers, middleware, SDKs and applications.
• Develop and maintain test frameworks, automation, and reference implementations.
• Implement and maintain test code and tools in C/C++ or similar languages.
• Perform pre- and post-silicon validation, debug hardware-software interactions, and triage complex issues across teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, OS, drivers, cloud) to define requirements and resolve defects.
• Create test cases, scripts, validation reports and contribute to CI/test infrastructure.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

• Must-have: 3–5 years experience in software or hardware validation/verification.
• Must-have: 3–5 years coding experience in C, C++ or similar high-level languages.
• Must-have: Proficiency in English and strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; experience debugging complex systems.
• Preferred: Experience with operating systems and virtualization technologies.
• Preferred: Pre- and post-silicon validation experience.
• Preferred: Experience with Specman/SystemVerilog or similar verification languages.

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
