Security Software Development Engineer

Role Summary

Validate and verify Intel's Trusted Domain Extensions (TDX) across firmware, OS, drivers, middleware, SDKs, and applications. Work on frameworks, automation, and reference implementations to ensure the reliability and security of confidential computing technologies.

Position is part of an engineering team focused on security and virtualization for cloud and platform products; collaboration with cross-functional firmware, hardware, and software teams is expected.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires 5–7 years of experience in software/hardware validation or verification and software development.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and run validation and verification tests for TDX across the full software/hardware stack.
• Develop frameworks, automation, and reference implementations to enable repeatable testing and validation.
• Analyze failures, debug across layers (firmware, OS, drivers, middleware), and drive fixes with engineering teams.
• Create and maintain test infrastructure, tooling, and documentation for validation activities.
• Collaborate with architects, firmware, silicon validation, and platform teams to define and verify security requirements.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills:

• 5–7 years of experience in software or hardware validation/verification.
• 5–7 years coding experience in higher-level languages such as C, C++, or Java.
• Proficient in English with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience debugging across software and firmware layers.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with operating systems and virtualization technologies.
• Pre- and post-silicon validation experience.
• Experience with Specman/SystemVerilog or similar verification languages/tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's (BSc) or Master's (MSc) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; equivalent practical experience also considered.
