Entry-level β new college graduate. Suitable for recent graduates or those with equivalent early-career experience.
Responsibilities
Work with security architects and engineering teams to help define and validate platform security for NVIDIA chips and platforms.
- Support security certification and compliance activities (e.g., FIPS 140-3, EU CRA, ISO 21434, audits), including documentation, evidence collection, and coordination with labs and auditors.
- Translate security and certification requirements into actionable guidance for hardware, firmware, and software teams.
- Review architecture, verification, and firewall specifications with senior guidance to assess IP conformance to security requirements.
- Contribute to threat modeling: identify trust boundaries, attack surfaces, assets, assumptions, and mitigations.
- Prepare and maintain security architecture documentation, design review checklists, and compliance mappings.
- Collaborate across security, hardware, software, verification, and product teams to evaluate platform security needs.
- Develop and improve AI-assisted tools and automation to support specification review, evidence summarization, and scalable threat modeling while protecting confidential design information.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and relevant early-career experience; preferred qualifications listed separately.
-
Must-have:
- Strong foundation in computer architecture, digital logic, operating systems, or embedded systems.
- Coursework, internships, research, projects, or equivalent hands-on experience in security, computer architecture, hardware design, or cryptography.
- Programming and debugging fundamentals in one or more: C, C++, Python, Verilog/SystemVerilog, ARM or RISC-V assembly, or scripting languages.
- Analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and collaboration skills for working across engineering teams.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn security architecture for complex SoCs and GPUs and to adopt AI tools for engineering workflows.
-
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to secure boot, measured boot, hardware root of trust, key management, debug security, or memory protection.
- Understanding of cryptographic algorithms, standards, and secure protocol usage.
- Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability research, CTFs, secure design review, or security testing.
- Familiarity with security certification or assurance standards (e.g., FIPS 140-3, ISO 21434) or prior certification work.
- Experience with ASIC design concepts, RTL, verification, or embedded firmware.
Education Requirements
Pursuing or recently completed an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant coursework, internships, research, or project experience in security, hardware design, computer architecture, or cryptography is expected.
