S32 Configuration Tools Developer

Role Summary

Develop and maintain configuration tools used to configure drivers and applications on NXP automotive processors. The role spans embedded C development and higher-level tool components to simplify customer integration with NXP processors.

Work in a multinational team operating within SAFe to plan and deliver features for new and existing configuration tools and customer-specific solutions.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include feature development, cross-team collaboration, and aligning tools with automotive requirements.

• Design and implement features for new and existing configuration tools.
• Develop and maintain large, complex software projects across embedded and higher-level tool layers.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies and contribute to planning and process definition.
• Collaborate with multinational teams and interact with internal and external customers to align development with needs.
• Ensure tools comply with automotive market requirements and applicable quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to technical leadership when required.

Requirements

• OOP experience in Java, C++, or C#.
• Embedded C programming experience and solid understanding of embedded systems.
• Basic knowledge of AI concepts.
• Proficiency with at least one scripting language (for example Python or Bash).
• Proven record of working on large or complex software projects.
• Good collaboration skills and fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work reliably on tasks that may be subject to security certifications.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience developing Eclipse plugins.
• Technical lead or project leadership experience.
• Familiarity with software quality standards and audit processes.
• Presentation skills.
