Role Summary
Senior hardware engineer responsible for RTL and circuit design, verification, bring-up, optimization, and test for advanced ASIC and system products. Work with cross-functional teams including verification, validation, software, architecture, and manufacturing to meet power, performance, area, yield, and quality targets.
Experience Level
Senior — typically a seasoned engineer. Company minimums reference multi-year experience (see Education Requirements). Preferred candidates may have 12+ years of hardware engineering experience and prior technical leadership.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on technical leadership of hardware design and delivery for highly critical products.
- Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test complex electronic systems (digital, analog, RF, optical, FPGA, DSP).
- Lead implementation of advanced design rules and processes for hardware and integrated circuits.
- Perform complex simulations and analyses to optimize power, performance, and area.
- Collaborate with design, verification, validation, software, systems engineering, and architecture teams to integrate requirements and improve yield and test quality.
- Develop and evaluate manufacturing and bring-up solutions; characterize reliability and materials.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers, review designs and documentation, and produce detailed technical reports.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Proven hardware/RTL and circuit/logic design and validation experience (digital, analog, or RF).
- Experience with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience with measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RF tools.
- Experience with design validation, bring-up, and production test optimization.
- Ability to run and interpret complex simulations and trade-off analyses for power, performance, and area.
- Strong written and verbal communication; experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in mentoring or technical leadership roles.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with FPGA/DSP systems and RF characterization.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing processes and automating test/bring-up workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field are referenced. Company minimum examples: Bachelor's +6 years, Master's +5 years, PhD +4 years of hardware engineering or related experience. Preferred: Master's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience. The posting does not explicitly state alternative "equivalent experience" language.
