RTL Design Engineer — Remote (W2)
Role Summary
Fully remote 12-month contract engagement focused on custom silicon development. The engineer will own micro-architecture definition and RTL implementation for complex digital blocks and take project lifecycle ownership with minimal supervision.
Works closely with SoC integration and Design Verification teams to deliver block-level IP and ensure sign-off readiness.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The role expects an independent contributor able to operate with no ramp-up time; no specific years of experience were provided.
Responsibilities
Deliver RTL and drive block-level ownership from spec to sign-off.
- Define micro-architecture from high-level functional specifications.
- Design and implement RTL for complex digital blocks using SystemVerilog/Verilog.
- Drive control logic and integrate IP within digital subsystems.
- Participate in subsystem-level architecture alignment and design reviews.
- Support sign-off activities: CDC, RDC, lint, and synthesis readiness checks.
- Collaborate with Design Verification teams for closure and debug.
- Manage project lifecycle and deliverables with minimal supervision.
Requirements

- Must-have: Strong, current RTL design expertise using SystemVerilog and/or Verilog.
- Must-have: Proven ability to independently define micro-architecture from functional specs.
- Must-have: Recent hands-on experience designing custom RTL blocks (controllers, DMAs, SoC bus bridges).
- Must-have: Solid understanding of memory controllers (HBM, DDR4, or DDR5) and SoC integration.
- Must-have: Experience with IP integration, multi-clock-domain designs, and block-level ownership.
- Must-have: Familiarity with sign-off flows including CDC and RDC.
- Nice-to-have: Subsystem-level RTL development experience, Die-to-Die (D2D) logic design, or prior work with hyperscaler silicon teams.
