Job Title

RTL Design Engineer — Remote (W2, 12-month contract)

Role Summary

Fully remote 12-month contract to own micro-architecture and RTL design for complex digital blocks in custom silicon. The engineer will take block-level ownership across RTL implementation, IP integration, and SoC integration activities.

Experience Level

Mid-level — expected to operate independently from day one and deliver with minimal supervision. Recent, hands-on RTL and memory-controller experience is required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Define micro-architecture from high-level functional specifications.
• Develop and implement RTL for complex digital blocks using SystemVerilog/Verilog.
• Design digital block control logic and integrate IPs at block level.
• Participate in subsystem-level architecture alignment and design reviews.
• Support design sign-off activities: CDC, RDC, lint, and synthesis readiness checks.
• Collaborate with Design Verification teams for closure and debug.
• Own the project lifecycle for assigned blocks with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• Strong, current RTL design expertise using SystemVerilog and/or Verilog.
• Proven ability to independently define micro-architecture from functional specs.
• Recent hands-on experience designing custom RTL blocks such as controllers, DMAs, or SoC bus bridges.
• Solid understanding of memory controllers (HBM, DDR4, DDR5).
• Experience with SoC integration and digital subsystem design.
• Proficiency with IP integration and block-level ownership.
• Working knowledge of sign-off flows including CDC and RDC; familiarity with lint and synthesis readiness checks.
• Experience designing IPs with multiple clock domains.
• Ready to start immediately and operate independently on a remote contract.

Nice-to-have:

• Subsystem-level RTL development experience.
• Exposure to Die-to-Die (D2D) logic design.
• Prior experience collaborating directly with hyperscaler silicon teams.
