RTL Design Engineer — Remote (12-month contract)

Role Summary

Seeking an RTL Design Engineer to own micro-architecture and RTL implementation of complex digital blocks for custom silicon. This fully remote, 12-month engagement requires independent delivery from day one and close collaboration with verification and SoC integration teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level (expected experience consistent with independent RTL ownership; typically 3–7 years of relevant ASIC/SoC RTL experience).

Responsibilities

The engineer will be responsible for end-to-end RTL block design, integration, and sign-off support.

• Define micro-architecture from high-level functional specifications.
• Develop RTL for complex digital blocks using SystemVerilog/Verilog.
• Implement digital block control logic and perform IP integration.
• Participate in subsystem-level architecture alignment and design reviews.
• Support sign-off readiness: CDC, RDC, lint, and synthesis checks.
• Collaborate with Design Verification teams for closure and debug.
• Own project lifecycle with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Strong, current RTL design skills in SystemVerilog and/or Verilog.
• Proven ability to independently define micro-architecture from specs.
• Recent hands-on experience designing controllers, DMAs, or SoC bus bridges.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with memory controller design (HBM, DDR4, DDR5).
• Experience with SoC integration and digital subsystem design.
• Proficiency in IP integration and block-level ownership.
• Familiarity with sign-off flows: CDC (Clock Domain Crossing) and RDC (Reset Domain Crossing).
• Experience designing IP with multiple clock domains.
• Able to start immediately and operate independently with minimal ramp-up.

Preferred:

• Subsystem-level RTL development experience.
• Exposure to Die-to-Die (D2D) logic design.
• Prior work with major hyperscaler silicon teams.
