RTL Design Engineer
Role Summary
Work on front-end RTL design within AMD's Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group to develop processor and SoC blocks. Collaborate with architecture, IP, physical design, verification, and product engineering teams to achieve first-pass silicon success.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing RTL blocks, ensuring delivery quality, and improving team efficiency.
- Own design and implementation of RTL blocks to meet functional, timing, area and power targets.
- Drive first-pass silicon success through close collaboration with architecture, IP, and physical design teams.
- Guide and review verification for blocks; work with verification teams to resolve issues.
- Design and implement logic to support testability and debug.
- Implement automation to increase front-end design team efficiency.
Requirements

- Must-have: Strong front-end RTL engineering background and experience in RTL coding and digital design.
- Must-have: Ability to deliver designs that meet functional, timing, area, and power requirements.

- Nice-to-have: Experience with Arm architecture and APB/AXI/CHI protocols.
- Nice-to-have: Design reuse experience (RTL, constraints, waivers) and SoC-level integration experience.
- Nice-to-have: Automation/scripting skills (Perl, Python, Tcl) to support design and flows.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with timing constraints/exceptions, static checks (LINT, CDC), and multi-power-domain design including UPF.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (as stated in the posting).
