RTL Design (Audio) Engineer
Role Summary
Design and verify RTL and support hardware bring-up for audio subsystems within the Hardware Engineering team in Bangalore. Work on planning, optimization, verification, and testing of electronic systems including digital/analog/RF/FPGA/DSP subsystems and related instrumentation.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Preferred: 1+ year of relevant circuit/hardware design and measurement experience. Role works under supervision and involves routine decision-making within the team.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include design support, verification, testing, and documentation for audio hardware and associated systems.
- Develop, verify, and integrate RTL and hardware features for audio systems.
- Support planning, optimization, simulation, and implementation to meet power, performance, and area targets.
- Assist with bring-up, yield improvement, and production test solutions to reduce test time and improve quality.
- Use and support hardware measurement and characterization (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools) for evaluation and debugging.
- Evaluate reliability, materials, and manufacturing processes; assist with product bring-up to meet schedules.
- Write technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate new requirements and test solutions.

- Must-have: Experience with schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
- Must-have: Experience using hardware measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools) and practical hardware bring-up/testing experience.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with CMOS design, automation, or programming in C/C++.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with FPGA, DSP systems, or test automation frameworks.
- Other: Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce clear technical documentation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in those fields is preferred.
