Job Title

RF & Systems Engineer

Role Summary

Design, integrate, and optimize complex semiconductor equipment systems by defining architectures, writing system and subsystem specifications, and leading integration and testing activities. Work with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical, software, algorithms, and physics) to ensure systems meet requirements, are manufacturable, and are serviceable.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 7–10 years of relevant systems engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Lead systems-level design and ensure successful integration and validation of complex products.

  • Lead and execute complex projects spanning electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithm, and software domains.
  • Coordinate with project marketing and management to translate market requirements into system requirements.
  • Lead architecture brainstorming and selection; produce top-level system architectures and interface diagrams.
  • Write detailed specifications for subsystem modules and maintain interface documentation.
  • Evaluate architectures and provide recommendations for optimal system solutions.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and mitigate complex engineering issues affecting design, manufacturability, and serviceability.
  • Support system integration during assembly and final testing of new product designs.
  • Interface with internal groups to resolve design, architecture, and integration issues and ensure documentation is current.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and capabilities for this role.

  • 7–10 years of systems engineering experience in a relevant technical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to define system architectures, write technical specifications, and produce interface diagrams.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with program management and marketing.
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, assembly-level testing, and diagnosing complex hardware/software interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills covering electrical, mechanical, software, and algorithmic aspects of system design.
  • Ability to document interfaces and maintain systems architecture records.
  • Willingness to travel (~10% of the time).
  • Nice-to-have: domain experience in RF systems, plasma processes, or semiconductor equipment development.

Education Requirements

Master's or PhD/Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or Physics, Plasma Physics, RF Engineering, or a related technical field.
