Job Title
RF IC Design and System Simulation Engineer
Role Summary
Work on system-level simulation and transmit (Tx) full-chain verification for RF front-end modules (FEM), covering power amplifiers, switches, filters and PCB interactions. Develop simulation methodologies, automate workflows, and correlate simulation results with lab measurements to validate Tx performance.
Collaborate with RFIC and system engineering teams to ensure holistic RF front-end performance and to debug system-level issues.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Minimum of 6+ years of related experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include system simulation, verification, and automation for RF Tx chains.
- Perform system-level simulations and full Tx-chain verification for RF FEMs (PA, switches, filters, PCB).
- Develop and validate simulation methodologies that predict system performance.
- Automate simulation workflows and integrate tools to accelerate verification.
- Correlate simulation results with lab measurements and diagnose root causes of discrepancies.
- Work with RFIC, PCB and test teams to specify and verify component and module behavior within system context.
- Maintain and extend simulation environments, scripts, and tool integrations.
Requirements
Key must-have skills and technologies, followed by concise nice-to-have items.
- Minimum of 6+ years of related experience in RF system simulation or RFIC verification.
- Strong understanding of transceiver architectures and complete RF front-end chains (PA, LNA, switches, filters).
- Proficient in AI coding agents (example: Claude Code) to increase development efficiency and automation.
- Expertise with simulation tools: ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, Dynamic Link, Golden Gate, and HFSS.
- Strong problem-solving skills to debug system issues and correlate simulation with lab data.
- Ability to build automated workflows and integrate multiple simulation tools for system-level analysis.
- Nice-to-have: hands-on circuit design experience (PA, switch, or filter), EM simulation and thermal analysis experience, familiarity with AI-driven tools such as Cursor.
Education Requirements
MS degree or PhD in Engineering with a strong focus on RF power amplifiers or related RFIC circuit design.
