Job Title

RF Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work on MEMS switch RF products within the ATE/SMX team in Limerick to define, design and deliver switches for automatic test equipment and instrumentation across DC to >30 GHz.

Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams (layout, manufacturing, applications, test, reliability) to bring products from concept to manufacture on schedule.

Responsibilities

The role includes hands-on RF design, simulation and cross-functional product development.

  • Define product requirements with customers and stakeholders.
  • Perform RF circuit design and simulation to meet specifications (DC to >30 GHz).
  • Collaborate with IC layout, manufacturing and foundry to prepare masks and manufacturing data.
  • Work with applications, marketing, evaluation/test, reliability and failure analysis to support product release.
  • Develop next-generation MEMS core technology to support product roadmaps.
  • Support product bring-up, characterization and troubleshooting.
  • Travel up to 10% as required.

Requirements

Must-have skills and desirable technical experience.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and ownership of technical problems.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with RF modelling tools (for example HFSS or ADS) or finite-element modelling is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent practical experience as stated in the posting.
