Semiconductor Design Release Engineer — Remote option

Role Summary

Responsible for creating and maintaining semiconductor deliverables, managing engineering change requests (ECRs), and ensuring timely, controlled releases of design artifacts. The role works with suppliers and internal engineering teams to validate submissions and keep product development on schedule.

Position sits within the design release / product engineering function and supports process improvements and cross-functional release activities. Telecommuting is allowed as an option.

Experience Level

Mid-level — approximately 3 years of relevant experience is requested.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

• Create, review, and maintain semiconductor design deliverables and release documentation.
• Analyze and validate supplier submissions to ensure compliance with specifications and deliverable requirements.
• Manage engineering change requests and track status through release.
• Coordinate release readiness across cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, suppliers).
• Maintain version control, traceability, and release records for design artifacts.
• Support initiatives to improve release processes and reduce cycle time.
• Communicate issues, risks, and resolution plans to stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications and skills:

• Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor design release, product engineering, or related functions.
• Practical knowledge of engineering change control and release management processes.
• Experience reviewing supplier deliverables and coordinating supplier interactions.
• Strong documentation, version-control, and configuration-management practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work with remote teams and use collaboration tools for telecommuting.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is specified. The posting also requests three years of relevant experience.
