Job Title

Reliability Engineer

Role Summary

Performs reliability engineering for semiconductor products, focusing on design, development, testing, and support for new product introduction (NPI). Works with product development, quality, and core teams to define reliability requirements, metrics, and corrective actions.

Develops reporting methods for statuses, results, and recommended improvements; ensures compliance with quality and reliability procedures. Role requires approximately 5% international travel for NPI/NTI activities.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Specific years of experience not stated; the role expects graduate-level knowledge or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform reliability design, development, and testing for semiconductor devices.
  • Support new product introduction and transfer activities, including cross-site collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain reporting methods for status, results, metrics, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Apply and enforce quality, reliability, and core team processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to investigate failures and implement problem-solving solutions.
  • Provide recommendations to Business and Quality Management to achieve approvals.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Experience with production, inventory, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of optimization and line balancing techniques.
  • Experience with engineering data analytics, databases, and computational tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and inventory management practices.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control and Principal Component Analysis (PCA).
  • Proficiency in software tools such as R, SQL, and Python.
  • Advanced quality and statistical process control methods.

Nice-to-have: specific semiconductor NPI/NTI experience and cross-site coordination skills.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, foreign equivalent, or related field.
