Regional Development Applications Engineer (Component Inspection)
Role Summary
The role supports the Component Inspection (CI) product used for final QC-out inspection of IC packages (BGA, QFP, QFN). You will work with customers to develop inspection recipes, assess technical requirements, coordinate solutions with engineering, and provide post-sales support and training within the ICOS Vision Systems division.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting specifies a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Specialize in the CI product for final QC-out inspection of IC packages (BGA, QFP, QFN).
- Engage with customers on new IC package designs and develop inspection recipes; document Best Known Methods (BKMs).
- Analyze technical feasibility of customer requirements, propose solutions, and align with engineering teams.
- Provide post-sales phone support, perform onsite troubleshooting, and escalate issues to engineering in Singapore or Belgium as required.
- Conduct occasional training sessions for customers and local customer engagement engineers.
- Regular travel within Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines) and occasional travel outside the region.

- Nice-to-have: Experience as a technical specialist or applications engineer in the semiconductor backend.
Education Requirements
