Regional Business Lead / Product Line Manager — Low-end Automotive MCU
Role Summary
Responsible for strategy, execution and business performance for a defined subset of embedded processing products (low-end automotive microcontrollers). Reports to the Product Line Manager and partners with engineering, sales, operations and marketing to drive roadmap, launches, pricing and lifecycle management.
Experience Level
Level: Senior. Guidance: 4+ years in semiconductor or embedded industries with at least 2+ years in product management or product line management.
Responsibilities
Deliver product strategy, customer engagement, and lifecycle management to grow revenue and manage product portfolios.
- Define product investment strategy and roadmap aligned to market trends and target segments.
- Coordinate go-to-market execution, launch collateral, and sales/FAE enablement.
- Engage key customers for roadmap alignment, design‑ins and strategic account reviews.
- Monitor competitor products and benchmark performance to inform investment priorities.
- Manage product lifecycle with operations: introductions, maturity, PCNs and EOL planning.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives with operations (wafer/package/test/assembly optimizations, multi-sourcing, die shrinks).
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and experience for immediate success:
- Minimum 4 years in semiconductor, embedded systems, or related industries.
- Minimum 2 years in product management or product line management.
- Experience in strategic or technical marketing, business development, applications, supply chain or cost management.
- Knowledge of microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex, RISC-V) and embedded software ecosystems.
- Understanding of semiconductor cost structures, wafer economics and supply-chain dynamics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and work across time zones.
- Proven track record launching products, securing design-wins and driving revenue growth.
Nice-to-have: prior automotive MCU experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required. Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
