Regional Business Lead / Product Line Manager — Low-end Automotive MCU
Role Summary
The Business Lead is accountable for strategy, execution and business performance for a defined subset of the Embedded Processing product family (low-end automotive microcontrollers and related platforms). Reporting to the Product Line Manager, the role drives product investment, roadmap, pricing, go-to-market execution and lifecycle management while working across engineering, sales, operations, marketing and customers.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Requires at least 4+ years in semiconductor, embedded systems, or related industries and a minimum of 2+ years in product management or product line management.
Responsibilities
Own product strategy, roadmaps and commercial execution for the assigned product subset and support customer adoption.
- Define high-ROI product investment strategy and translate market trends into short- and long-term product roadmaps.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop go-to-market plans, launch collateral and sales/FAE enablement.
- Build and maintain deep relationships with key customers; align on roadmap and design-in activities.
- Track competitor products and benchmark performance to inform roadmap decisions.
- Manage product lifecycle from concept through introduction, maturity and end-of-life; lead PCNs and discontinuation planning.
- Partner with operations to drive cost-reduction initiatives (wafer/package/test/assembly, multi-sourcing, die shrinks).
- Support strategic account and regional business reviews.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience, domain knowledge and interpersonal skills required to execute the role.
- 4+ years in semiconductor, embedded systems, or related industries.
- 2+ years in product management or product line management.
- Experience in strategic or technical marketing, business development, applications, supply-chain or cost management.
- Understanding of microcontroller applications across automotive, consumer, industrial and infrastructure markets.
- Familiarity with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex, RISC-V) and embedded software ecosystems.
- Knowledge of semiconductor cost structures, wafer economics and supply-chain dynamics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Track record of launching products, achieving design-wins and driving revenue growth.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field is required. A Master’s degree or MBA is listed as a plus.
