Regional Application Engineer

Role Summary

Customer-facing engineering role supporting and accelerating Nexperia's Business Group ICS design pipeline across Taiwan. The RAE partners with account managers, business development, distributors, and technical teams to drive design wins and strengthen customer relationships.

The role provides application support, training, and design guidance for analog and power-management IC solutions and collaborates with regional marketing and product teams to increase customer engagement.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The role expects a minimum of 5 years of experience in Design Engineering, Application Engineering, or a related technical role.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include technical support, customer engagement, and enabling design wins across Taiwan.

• Drive and accelerate the ICS design pipeline across Taiwan in partnership with internal teams, distributors, and sales representatives.
• Act as technical expert for BG ICS products, solutions, and technology roadmaps.
• Provide application support, design guidance, and product training to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with design engineers and key customer contacts.
• Develop technical collateral: application schematics, demo boards, reference designs, and simulations.
• Support marketing activities, industry events, seminars, and technical presentations.
• Promote and support evaluation platforms, simulation models, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with regional and application engineering teams across business groups to identify cross-selling and product-fit opportunities.
• Collect and analyze market and customer feedback to identify design trends and business opportunities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional capabilities.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Design Engineering, Application Engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong technical knowledge of analog ICs and power-management ICs and the challenges of integrating them into customer applications.
• Solid understanding of electronic product design processes, including component selection, qualification, and design-in activities.
• Proven customer-facing communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze and visualize technical and business data.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with power management ICs or signal-chain products.
• Nice-to-have: experience supporting automotive, industrial, server, or commercial applications.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline is specified.
