Regional Application Engineer

Role Summary

Customer-facing technical role supporting and accelerating Nexperia's IC design pipeline across Taiwan. The Regional Application Engineer partners with account managers, business development, distributors and technical teams to drive design wins and increase market visibility for analog and power management IC solutions.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Minimum 5 years of experience in Design Engineering, Application Engineering, or a related technical role as stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on technical support, customer engagement, and enabling design wins across Taiwan.

• Drive and accelerate the Business Group ICS design pipeline across Taiwan by partnering with internal teams, distributors, and sales representatives.
• Serve as the technical expert for BG ICS products, solutions, and technology roadmaps.
• Provide technical support, application guidance, and product training to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with design engineers and key customer contacts.
• Support marketing activities, industry events, seminars, and speaking opportunities to enhance market presence.
• Promote and leverage technical support tools such as evaluation platforms, simulation models, and documentation.
• Develop technical design collateral: application schematics, demo boards, reference designs, and simulations.
• Create and contribute technical content to drive awareness and engagement within the engineering community.
• Collaborate with Application Engineering teams across business groups to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Analyze market and customer feedback to identify design trends and business opportunities.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Design Engineering, Application Engineering, or a related technical role.
• Solid understanding of electronic product design processes including component selection, qualification, and design-in activities.
• Strong technical knowledge of analog ICs and power management ICs and the challenges of integrating them into customer applications.
• Experience supporting applications in at least one of: automotive, industrial, server, or commercial sectors.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize technical and business data to support decision-making.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proven analytical thinking, problem-solving, self-motivation, and ability to work independently and in global teams.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on experience with Power Management ICs, Signal Chain products, or related technologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline was specified. No advanced degree (Master's/PhD) or explicit equivalent-experience language was provided in the posting.
