Global Product Manager NFC Automotive
Role Summary
As Global Product Manager for the NFC Automotive product line, you will own the product portfolio lifecycle from definition through end-of-life. You will set strategy, define requirements, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver NFC solutions for automotive customers.
You will work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, regional product teams and manufacturing to ensure market fit, profitability, and successful product introductions.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Minimum 5+ years of product management experience in the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
Own product strategy, lifecycle, and go-to-market activities for NFC automotive products. Key responsibilities include:
- Define product requirements, objectives, cost targets, and timelines.
- Manage product gross profit and continuously validate the business case.
- Mitigate technical and commercial risks and act as escalation point during project execution.
- Drive product launches, updates, product change notifications (PCNs), and end-of-life planning.
- Contribute to product roadmap through customer, market, and competitive analysis.
- Develop product positioning, USPs, and enablement materials; train and equip sales teams.
- Support customer engagement and design-in activities; monitor and support the DIN funnel.
- Scout market trends and emerging technologies; propose innovation and make‑vs‑buy strategies.
Requirements
Core skills and experience required or advantageous:
- 5+ years in semiconductor product management with product P&L responsibility.
- Proven communication and presentation skills; able to engage executive-level stakeholders.
- Automotive market understanding, including Tier1 and supply channels.
- Business-fluent English; German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Technical knowledge of NFC applications and standards is a plus.
- Digital Car Key application know-how is a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
