RAS and Manageability Controller Firmware Developer
Role Summary
Develop embedded firmware for SoC management controllers responsible for error, debug, telemetry, power, boot, and RAS features. Work on pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up, collaborating with hardware, platform, architecture teams and external partners.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include:
- Design, develop, debug, and verify firmware across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments, including simulators and FPGA emulation.
- Implement core firmware stacks and RTOS-based services for management controllers.
- Define and implement RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) and manageability/error-reporting solutions.
- Develop device drivers and interprocessor communication interfaces between embedded controllers and the platform.
- Collaborate on silicon and platform bring-up, debug, and diagnostics.
- Engage with open-source communities to upstream architecture, driver, and firmware support.
- Contribute to hiring and skills planning as needed.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Proficient in C; experience with C++ and Python is useful.
- Proven embedded firmware development experience and full firmware lifecycle ownership (design, debug, verification).
- Experience with RTOS or embedded OSes and driver development (examples: Zephyr, FreeRTOS) and OS kernel environments.
- Experience in pre-silicon development and debugging using simulators and FPGA emulation.
- Experience implementing error reporting, debug, telemetry and platform manageability features.
- Familiarity with ARM architecture and low-level (assembly) debugging.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with ARM RAS specifications and software components (SDEI, APEI, UEFI CPER).
- Experience defining interprocessor communication protocols.
- Experience on datacenter server manageability and power-management controller firmware.
- Demonstrated technical leadership.
Education Requirements
